Following your hygiene plan
Under § 36 of the German Infection Protection Act (Infektionsschutzgesetz), daycare centres, after-school clubs and schools need a hygiene plan. The setting itself is responsible for it, meaning its management or operator. We organise our work around it and record what was cleaned, when and with what. So you have the records to hand when the health authority asks.

Do you disinfect everything?
No, only where the hygiene plan says so, for example in changing and washroom areas or after illness. For everyday cleaning, a thorough clean is enough. That is kinder to children, materials and the environment.
Do we need a hygiene plan?
Yes. Under § 36 of the Infection Protection Act, daycare centres, after-school clubs and schools must have a hygiene plan. We carry out the cleaning part and keep records of it.
Do you clean the kitchen too?
Yes, following HACCP rules, with separate cloths and products that are suitable for food areas.
What do you do in the holidays?
We use the holidays for the deep clean: floors, furniture, windows, frames and sports equipment. That keeps everyday cleaning during the school year lean.
Are your staff checked?
Yes. Our staff in daycare centres have had a police check.
